Default Practice Dungeon?

I'm trying to get into 600/Smite for some extra cash.

So, my question is, which dungeon is the best to start on? Also, if you could list some of the easier dungeons, that'd be great.

Thanks in advance.

Temple of the Damned (commonly referred to as CoF, Cathedral of Flames) is probably the easiest.

Cof is easy, or go and farm a bit in UW or FoW, easy to.

SoO is easy but the end boss is so annoying, I've gotten to him 3 times and allways given up after like 10 tries...

Depends purely on your experience tbh - since you are stating you are trying to get into 600/smite, the easiest to start with is 600ing Wajun Bazaar (outside of The Marketplace in Factions). Get used to it here since there is nothing really to worry about (enchantment strippers for example) and will get you used to countering interrupts (bring Mantra of Resolve to get yourself used to this skill). It will also bring a reasonable return in terms of drops (e.g. runes).

Once happy with this, either go into the Underworld (though needing 1k entry fee or a scroll) or start on the dungeon path to glory. Cathedral of Flames/Temple of the Damned is the best starter (as already mentioned) since you can access the dungeon directly from Doomlore Shrine. Little to worry about in there, the only difference compared to the above is requiring Spellbreaker. Also be prepared for Reversal of Damage, since this will hurt your bonder (cast Retribution then Holy Wrath to negate some of the damage). Have your runnees bring heals for this. Will suggest you don't bring a healing hero (as some runners do this), as it will lessen your money return on the run (2k per spot).

Every other dungeon will require getting to it from an outpost, so be prepared for that (or bring someone who can run there for you as an example). Kathandrax is easy once you are there. Same with Oola's Lab. The Ooze Pit is also straightforward, though requiring a little thought at the end with the boss(es).

Rragars is straightforward too, though a lot of people tend to run with an extra hero that can utilise Frozen Soil. So Rragars (and Shards of Orr) tend to be 3 person setups, so leave these for now until you get proficient in 2 man running.

The harder dungeons leave for now (such as Arachni's Haunt). If you wish to give it a go, by all means do so. But generally the people you run are very demanding so running the ones you feel most comfortable with will give you the confidence of having hassle-free groups. Doesn't always happen of course.

Hope this helps you.

Oolas basically requires a similar setup to a normal CoF build - if you can get someone to run there for you, Spellbreaker is not needed thus opening up a whole range of build potentials. I ran Mo/N whenever I did it (not using SS) but you could trial anything you wish really.

There used to be one for Rragars. A CoF build works fine for example, you just need to be careful with the sub bosses on Level 3 (the necros) and Rragar/Hidesplitter with their interrupts. Hence why a few people run a 2nd hero with Frozen Soil, QZ and condition removals.

Each dungeon is different and requires different builds/heroes. For instance, in CoF, you face Reversal of Damage Monks and need to keep the smiter alive. THis can be done by other people/heroes or the smiter taking self healing. Then in Shards of Orr you need anti-knockdowns and QZ to keep Spell Breaker up. Vloxen has a lot of interrupts to deal with, so you need Mantra of Resolve or something similar. In short, practice is not possible for all dungeons, you must practice that dungeon to learn it. Practicing CoF will not help you much at all for learning how to do SoO, etc.

As the rest said, CoF is stupidly easy.

The first dungeon I learnt to 600/Smite was Heart of Shiverpeaks - The only real problem is Magmus at the end as I found that having non permanent Spell Breaker makes it a bit tricky, although found that taking a QZ Ranger or Archane Echo makes it a much simpler process.

I practiced 600/smite doing DTSC (as well as maxing my kurz), after that CoF, Hos, and Oolas was a piece of cake. DTSC lets you experience things like interruption and kd's which will prepare you for when these happen in dungeons.

DTSC or MQSC helps you learn 600 alot, if you can Wallow for MQSC you can probably run most dungeons
